Lymph Drainage Massage

Over 70% of the initial lymphatics are in and just under the skin and this gentle massage works on these. Lymphatic drainage massage increases the volume of lymph flow as much as 20 times. This gentle technique is rhythmic, stretching and releasing the skin, so the lymph is pushed towards the nodes.

A full drainage massage follows a sequence and takes about one hour. Otherwise, the techniques can be fitted into part of another treatment.

Benefits of lymphatic drainage techniques:

Increased lymph flow removes harmful substances from the tissues and increases immune function. Lymphatic massage can be helpful in cases of oedema, sports injury, for those with a sluggish immune system or those people suffering from a lack of energy. Lymphatic drainage massage has been shown to help the scarring process by enhancing circulation and immunity. Facial drainage helps with sinusitis, dental problems and excellent for the skin as a mini-face lift. It helps relieve retention of fluids during pregnancy and during the menstrual cycle. It also increases overall relaxation by decreasing stress levels.
